Former Chief Justice of Supreme Court Saqib Nisar's house was attacked with a hand grenade, however, Saqib Nisar and his family members were safe while 2 policemen were injured.

According to the police, the house of former Chief Justice of Supreme Court Saqib Nisar was attacked with a hand grenade in the Garden Town area of Lahore. As a result, 2 policemen Mohammad Amir and Khurram Shahzad have been injured.

At the time of the explosion, former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Saqib Nisar was present at home and all his family members were also with him.


Saqib Nisar's first statement after the blast

Justice (R) Saqib Nisar in a special conversation with Sama said that we were sitting inside the house when suddenly there was a loud explosion, the sound of the explosion was quite loud.

  He said that the policemen posted outside the house were injured, but all our family members were safe. Saqib Nisar said that the policemen are reporting that there was a grenade blast, and the police are investigating the incident.


The bomb disposal squad declared the residence clear

Later, the bomb disposal squad declared Saqib Nisar's residence clear, and the bomb disposal squad team left after the inspection. The crime scene unit and forensic teams collected evidence, while the CTD and other investigation teams obtained the footage.

The preliminary report of the attack on the house of former Chief Justice Saqib Nisar has been prepared. According to it, the attack on the house of the former Chief Justice took place at 8:40 a.m., and the police were informed about the attack at 9:00 a.m. The attackers came to the house of Saqib Nisar on a motorcycle and threw a homemade hand grenade inside the house.

According to the reports, two policemen were injured and Saqib Nisar's personal car parked in the porch of the house was damaged due to the hand grenade explosion. The investigation teams sent the initial report to IG Punjab.
