Disclosure of non-existence of accurate valuation system of priceless gifts in Pakistan

No Pakistani organization could tell the value of the graph jewellery set found with the Saudi prince

It has been revealed that Pakistan does not have an accurate valuation system for priceless gifts.



Sama has received the National Accountability Bureau's investigation report in the ongoing Tosha Khana reference against former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi. The report revealed that no Pakistani organization could tell the value of the graph jewellery set found with the Saudi prince.


According to the report, FBR and Pakistan Customs Committee showed an inability to estimate the value, Gems and Jewelery Traders Association also could not estimate the value of the gift, Industry and Production Division said that Gems and Jewelery Development Company is inactive.


Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation also said that they could not tell the exact price, and sent letters to the UK, United Arab Emirates, Italy and Switzerland but got no response.


According to the report, the services of the company through the Pakistan Consulate in Dubai, the company said that the actual value of the gift is 3 billion 165 million, and after making an estimate from Dubai, it was found that the treasure was damaged by 1 billion 57 million.


The former prime minister and his wife Bushra Bibi kept the gift of 3 billion 16 crore rupees received by the Saudi crown prince by giving only 9 million rupees. No evidence could be found against the government officials who made wrong estimates.


The former prime minister and Bushra Bibi had to deposit one billion 57 crore rupees. In the NAB report, no officer was named as an accused for underestimating the price of the gift. Government officials were not accused due to a lack of evidence of benefits.
