Record of highest number of nomination papers rejected in Karachi

 Nomination papers of 27 candidates rejected on NA 234 Korangi

The process of scrutiny of the nomination papers submitted by the candidates to participate in the general elections in 2024 has been completed. A record number of nomination papers were rejected in Karachi like the rest of the country.



According to the details, the nomination papers of 27 candidates were rejected on only one seat NA 234 Korangi in Karachi, 33 candidates filed their nominations on NA 234 Korangi seat, but Aarau approved the nomination papers of only 6 candidates.


Muzamil Aslam of PTI from NA-241, Arsalan Khalid of PTI from NA-248, Fad Muhammad of PTI from NA-234, Gauhar Khattak of PTI from NA-234 and Faheem Khan of PTI from NA-234. Nomination papers were rejected.


Aslam Khan of PTI from NA 248, Saeed Afridi of PTI from NA 245, Aftab Siddiqui of PTI from NA 244, Amjad Afridi of PTI from NA 242 and Haleem Adil Shaikh of PTI from NA 236 were rejected.


The papers of PTI's Firdous Shamim Naqvi from NA-236, 248, PTI's Masroor Ali from NA-230 and PTI's Khurram Sherzaman from NA-241 were rejected. Awab Alvi's son Awab Alvi's papers from NA 241 were rejected.


Papers of Tabish Tawfiq, Rehan Chishti and Nadeem Akhtar, Naveedaziz, Mohammad Behzad, Najeeb Haroon and Khawaja Sohail Mansoor of PPP were rejected from NA-250. The nomination papers of 7 candidates from NA-250 Central were rejected while the Returning Officer accepted the papers of 28 candidates.
